Opening Hours
8AM — 6PM (Everyday) *Closed on Thurs*
My Thoughts
I was mind-blown the first time I had the Zucchini Loaf at Ome, I always thought dessert had to be sweet, but this had the right balance of everything: salty, sweet and sour.
I personally watched a few episodes of Zumbo’s Just Desserts and was quite curious how a well-balanced dessert should taste like, and I’m happy to say that I’m so glad I found such a well executed dessert in the heart of Penang. It’s unique in a way that I could never imagine and I highly recommend this to everyone visiting or staying in Penang.

Churros with Oreo Topping & Salted Caramel Dip
Address
5, Stewart Ln, Georgetown, 10200 George Town, Penang.
Opening Hours
10AM — 6PM (Mon to Thurs), 10AM — 10PM (Fri to Sun)
My Thoughts
This is not your typical bubble milk tea! It’s actually a dessert and coffee place!
I was never someone who loves churros, in fact this was my first experience trying churros.
Glad I gave my first time to The Alley because I have no regrets!
It’s crispy on the outside, soft in the inside, and best eaten when served hot. Although it takes awhile to be served, it’s definitely worth the wait!

Mix & Match Tang Yuan with Fillings (Peanut, Black Sesame, Salty & Sweet Lotus Paste)
Address
11, Lorong Susu, George Town, 10400 George Town, Pulau Pinang.

My Thoughts
This is my go-to place for cheap desserts (under RM6) to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Besides, they have a large range of fillings to choose from but personally I enjoy the peanut, black sesame and salty & sweet lotus paste.
Some unique flavors you may try include durian, cheese and chocolate if you feel adventurous. Their entire menu is super affordable and there’s no excuse why you shouldn’t try this place.

My Thoughts
Wanna feel like you’re in Paris? Then this is the place to be! This entire café screams amazing.
Their croissants and escargot pastries are light, buttery and flaky, one of the best pastry places in Penang. Their croissants usually sell out fast, so be sure to visit early if you can.
Other than their pastries, their desserts are also really good and unique. On a side note, the whole place is really clean including their washrooms which is a plus point.

What’s Yums
Pisang Pengat, Mango Sticky Rice, Watermelon Cake
Address
72, Jalan A.S. Mansoor, 10050 George Town, Pulau Pinang.
Opening Hours
3PM — 11PM (Wed to Thurs), 12PM — 12AM (Fri to Sun) *Closed on Mon & Tues*
My Thoughts
This place serves unique desserts from what we are usually familiar with in Malaysia.
My favorite item from the menu would be the Pisang Pengat as it has a hint of saltiness on top of the sweetness which I love.
The portion here is pretty big, so if you only have a party of 2, I would recommend only ordering 1 item. But of course if you’re hungry, go ahead and get more!
The place is really spacious and suitable for large gatherings, if you’re in a group, you always get to try more things!

My Thoughts
The best local spot to get your Nyonya Kuih while being able to chill with your friends. This place specializes in home-made Nyonya Kuihs and you can even see the process of how some of them are being made as you enter the place!
I would recommend the kaya kuih as it’s a local delicacy and my favorite. Feel free to try the other home-made kuihs which are available too.
